Project Details
Kozeny-Wagner was selected to serve as the general contractor for three consecutive projects including a new Aviation Fuel Storage Facility, build-out of a new Customs and Border Protection facility, and a renovation of the existing terminal for Signature Flight Support Corporation located at Lambert International Airport. The new fuel farm consists of three 20,000 gallon Jet-A tanks, one 12,000 gallon Avgas tank, one 2,000 gallon split compartment diesel/auto gas tank, associated controls and dispensing equipment.
The renovation of 2,000 square foot of an existing office space located in an existing hangar was completed in four weeks for the customs and boarder facility. The new highly-secured facility is comprised of a processing area, search room, interview room, hold room, and multiple offices.
The interior renovation and HVAC improvements of the existing 8,600 square foot terminal was completed in five separate phases as to avoid any disruptions to the existing operations of the occupied terminal. Kozeny-Wagner proactively managed the subcontractors and vendors to meet the aggressive schedule as many aspects of the project had to be coordinated during off hours and weekends including the noisier and messier work. Key upgrades included a new pilot’s lounge, passenger lounge with new fireplace, customer service area, flight planning, restrooms, offices, and conference rooms.
All three projects had very stringent rules and regulations from Signature and the FAA which Kozeny-Wagner conformed to without exception.
