The Kingshighway Bridge is the replacement of the old bridge on Kingshighway that spanned across Daggett Avenue and the Union Pacific Railroad between I-44 and Vandeventer. This bridge was widened by 25+ feet and allowed a smoother traffic route for the St. Louis daily commute. The Kingshighway bridge path is used as a connection to the south city patrons living on The Hill, Central West End, The Grove, and Dogtown. The bridge replacement spanned approximately 1,750 feet in length from Shaw Ave to Vandeventer Ave. This roadway/bridge replacement was a must for the heavily populated city and now will be a forever land mark for the City of St. Louis.
